| Letter from HANOK | A Korean folk painting exhibition in a beautiful Korean Hanok
|
A Memorable Way to Experience Korea

At the entrance of Eunpyeong Hanok Village in Seoul,
you’ll find Greenear Korea’s unique cultural space: Solhyangjae.
Here, you can experience a special program found nowhere else.
A Memorable Way to Encounter Korean Minhwa Art in a Traditional Hanok
"Letter from HANOK"
(Solhyangjae, 1F, 4 Jingan-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul )
“Letter from Hanok” is both a postcard exhibition and a cultural experience that takes place exclusively at Solhyangjae, a Korean cultural atelier operated by Greenear Korea. Visitors can enjoy a collection of artworks created by Korean minhwa artists, beautifully displayed along one of the hanok’s walls.
From traditional symbols like the moon jar, magpies and tigers, and camellia flowers to classic Korean pieces like the Portrait of a Beauty or Irworobongdo (Sun, Moon and Five Peaks), as well as delightful illustrations of cats playing in hanok gardens or landscapes of Andong and Dokdo— each postcard holds its own unique charm.
The time you spend choosing your favorite postcard isn’t just about buying a souvenir—
it's a moment of discovering your own little work of art.
What Makes This Program Special
If you choose to write a letter on your postcard, Greenear will carefully send it anywhere in the world—at no additional cost. (Postcard delivery is included with purchase.)
Of course, you won’t know exactly when the letter will arrive. But that’s what makes the wait a part of the joy— a quiet, meaningful kind of anticipation.
As you sit under the soft sunlight, take your time exploring Korean minhwa postcards, and write your thoughts with your own hand. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s a rare and touching experience.
Through “Letter from Hanok,” Greenear wanted to bring back the slow pace, gentle waiting, and heartfelt moments of writing to someone.

Someday, under the wide sky of Bukhansan, someone might receive your letter— a small memory sent from Solhyangjae, tucked inside a Korean hanok.
With the scent of pine in the air, you may write a letter slowly, or simply keep the postcard as a cherished item. Whether it’s a thought from today, a message for someone you love,
or a quiet memory from your visit— it becomes yours to hold in your own way.
In a busy world, “Letter from Hanok” offers a moment
to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your emotions.
It is a space where Korean tradition, personal stories, and beauty quietly come together.
And even after time passes, the memory will remain.
Very nice place to find souvenirs and cozy, with kind staff!
- Anna*** | Their concept is so cute, you can write letters for yourself or for anyone and they will mail it all over the world. They just opened but their service is great, so relaxing as well
- Adiel**** | Awesome place and hidden gem! Love the decoration, peaceful atmosphere and incredible postcard designs.
