Summer, Nature, Byeokyeonjae
Geumjeong-gu, Busan, along with Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, is an area with a rich modern history related to religion and education in Busan. Dongnae Academy, a school corporation that has been teaching students for over 100 years, is located in this area. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dongnae Academy, a hanok 'Byeokyeonjae' was built on a high site overlooking Busan and named after the family patronymic of the foundation's founder III, Oh Jae-jin .
With Byeokyeonjae
'byeokyeonjae' is made of Pinus thunbergii and built without the use of nails, preserving the characteristics of a traditional hanok. The interior is finished with perilla, walnut, and pine nut oils. The construction and maintenance of byeokyeonjae reflects Dongnae Academy's philosophy of respecting and preserving tradition.
