| Muwolgwan | In 2024, greenear wanted to make the sounds of nature feel as close as a breath of fresh air in the serene atmosphere of a hanok. |
A traditional Korean Hanok where the moon dances

Muwolgwan is located next to the ruins of Andong Byeolgung Palace, which was used for royal events during the Joseon Dynasty. There are no walls or doors in any of the rooms except for the bedrooms, connecting them together with the special aura of Andong Byeolgung Palace. The courtyard is also beautiful, where you can fully experience the four seasons.
Hanoks are characterized by an architectural style that emphasizes harmony with nature and minimizes the boundaries between inside and outside. In particular, the large yards and open spaces of hanoks capture the sounds of nature and give a sense of the Korean atmosphere. As you interact with the outside world through the flooring and window panes, you can feel the changing of the seasons and breathe in the open air.
With Muwolgwan

I remember a moment when I was moved by a review of a gayageum concert that said it was a meditation on national music. We put a lot of effort into making sure that not even the sound of an electric fan could disturb the silence of the spacious courtyard and space of Muwolgwan, so that you could feel the breath of the gayageum, which is the sound of nature.
We also arranged a place for participants to experience the gayageum, which captures the essence of Korea, by themselves. The participants' concentration on the clear and soft melody of the gayageum, and the joyful sound of the gayageum itself, all became soft and special memories.
