The lotus flower is not only beautiful, but also symbolic. It is sacred and has important significance in Buddhism and Eastern philosophy, which is why lotus tea has a long history in Asian cultures.
When we think of lotus tea, we think of Buddhism and temples. In fact, Busan doesn't have many hanoks with a long tradition, but there are some precious spaces that remain, and they are temples. Temples are also the starting point of tea culture, and the tea culture that monks have lived with all their lives has spread to visitors to temples, so there are many tea producers in Busan and Gyeongnam.
With Tea
The Lotus Tea Ceremony course was designed with the desire to enrich the tea culture that is deeply connected to Busan's modern culture. In particular, we wanted people to take a break from the heat of summer and feel the relaxation of nature through tea.
For the lotus tea tea ceremony course, which was organized by a tasting sommelier who runs a tea shop in Busan International Market, we chose white tablecloths to capture the purity of lotus tea. The tea ceremony was organized in Busan, a city with a deeply rooted tea culture, and we hoped that the time spent with greenear would be as pure and special as lotus tea, which is synonymous with wealth, abundance, and sanctity.
