My Feelings About This Work

I tend to be sensitive with my five senses, often associating visual images with the character of harmonies during a performance. For instance, when a minor chord appears, I might gaze at a dark space, and with a major chord, I'd look towards the ceiling lights, responding intuitively. The guitar, being held close to the body and producing sound directly from the fingertips, is an instrument intimately connected to the heart. This closeness makes me keenly aware of subtle changes in my right-hand touch, which varies slightly each day. Musically, I strive to deeply analyze harmony and articulation in accordance with the piece's theme. However, once I step onto the stage, I try to let go of all such analysis and fully immerse myself only in the melody and the feeling of that very moment.
Interview
Q. What is your most memorable place and experience in nature in Korea?

My most memorable place is Pohang's Dogu Beach. There, I underwent basic assault training for the Marine Corps. The biting wind of January was incredibly cold, and the rubber boat I carried on my head was so heavy that I wondered, 'Is this my limit?' Even now, I vividly recall the rough waves of the winter sea and the smell of the ocean, set against the backdrop of the drab POSCO factory.
Q. What does nature mean to you?

I believe it is an undeniable, unapproachable presence.
Q. What do you hope people feel from your performance?

I wish to convey a gentle sound, like the ease of a weekend, allowing for a moment to catch one's breath amidst the rush of daily life. And I hope this warm sense of relaxation permeates many hearts.
