What to expect while doing this

While working on modern interpretations based on tradition, I often look at old paintings.
Even though they are hundreds of years old, I’m often impressed by their meanings and the artists’ skills.
Interview
Q. What are some of your most memorable places and experiences in nature in Korea?

This year, when I visited Gyeongju and Andong, I was deeply impressed by the seowon (Confucian academies) that had stood with nature for a long time.
Q. What does nature mean to you?

Like the sky I saw while drinking coffee from a vending machine,
or the scent of wild roses coming from the heated asphalt—
I find inspiration in all things people can discover in daily life.
Q. What do you want people to take away from the experience and healing you provide?
I hope people who see my work will understand and appreciate the value of tradition.
In this beautiful space based on tradition, I wish my work can help people find happiness in the small moments of everyday life.
