Interview
Q. What are some of your most memorable places and experiences in nature in Korea?

Growing up in Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do, Songnim Park near my house was my playground. Memories of walking in the park with my father after he returned from work each day, smelling the pine scent, and sitting by the Seomjin River still vividly come back to me. A little while ago, I had a performance in Hadong, and on my way home, I stopped by Songnim Park.
The rock that felt so huge I could barely climb it now felt small enough to crouch beside, and the Seomjin River water, which felt like enormous waves surging in my childhood, was now gently rippling.
Q. What does nature mean to you?
Nature provides me, exhausted from daily life, with a refreshing breeze that feels like it's opening up my chest, and helps me overcome lethargy and attempt new challenges.
Q. What do you want people to take away from the experience and healing you provide?

The experience of performing at a facility for children with disabilities remains the most memorable for me. Although their bodies were challenged, the joy, sadness, comfort, peace, elation, and delight they expressed while listening to the music, and the overwhelming emotion that came back to the performers, was a truly precious gift.
