"Our ancestors captured the beauty of nature
and the rhythm of life in a single cup of grain liquor.
The Seonbi (scholars)
enjoyed 'Pungryu' (artistic flow)
by reciting poetry over their cups,
while the people shared a drink
to comfort themselves
after the hard labor of the harvest.
A single cup was a vessel
for connection with nature,
human affection,
and warm comfort for the weary.
This was the aesthetic of leisure
and refinement our ancestors pursued."
We share that deep,
aesthetic flow with you in a single cup.

Episode #1 Traditional Liquor Sommelier

Choi Jeong-wook
Every ingredient used in the creation of liquor originates from nature. It begins with the farmer’s labor—cultivating and harvesting the land—and continues through the meticulous preparation, brewing, and distillation of those ingredients. Finally, the spirit comes to rest, aging in earthenware onggi or wooden oak barrels.
A spirit that truly captures its "terroir" is esteemed as a finer, more meaningful creation. Its value only deepens as it is layered with the passage of time and the wisdom of the seasons. We cannot plead with nature to hurry or demand it to yield results simply because we are short on time.

"Nature is a terroir to which we must adapt, yield, and harmonize—and it is a terroir we are now called to protect."
Episode #2 A pine-scented house, Solhyangjae

Solhyangjae is Greenear's first hanok space to run seasonal cultural experiences under the theme of Korea's seasonal nature.
At Solhyangjae, you can experience a wide range of Korean culture with five senses, including various art, folk painting exhibitions, performances, and gourmet experiences by Korean representative masters and cultural figures who connect traditions.
It is located in the tranquil Eunpyeong Hanok Village under Bukhansan Mountain. You can drink a cup of tea under the magnificent Bukhansan Mountain, and feel the deep rest and the energy of nature.
Episode #3 Korean Traditional Alcohol

The wisdom of over 1,500 years
Korean traditional alcohol boasts a long history spanning over 1,500 years. It originates from before the Three Kingdoms period and embraces a rich culture. Our ancestors did not view alcohol merely as a drink. They saw it as a valuable medium. It connected sacred rituals and ceremonies. It fostered community bonds and cultural enjoyment. It also allowed them to share the joys and sorrows of life.
This deep connection permeated the lives and spirits of Koreans. It stretched from royal feasts and Buddhist culture in the Three Kingdoms era. It continued through the home-brewing culture of Joseon's literati and common people, and vibrant banquets.
Korean traditional alcohol is imbued with the wisdom of our ancestors. It sought community unity and prosperity, and pursued the elegance and taste of life. Today, it continues to bring vitality and richness to our lives, maintaining its special value.
