What to expect while doing this

As a gugak musician, the biggest thing I feel when I go to performances is that gugak is still unfamiliar and difficult. It's frustrating when I feel that people are unfamiliar with gugak, but I feel the most proud when they listen to our music and become interested in gugak. I want to remain a composer and performer of gugak until many people realize the charm of gugak.
Interview
Q. What are some of your most memorable places and experiences in nature in Korea?

My favorite memory is the beach in Busan, where I went this summer. I was in a songwriting slump, and when I couldn't write a song, I just went there, and when I saw the cool waves, I felt like my worries were floating away with me. I still remember the glitter on the blue sea.
Q. What does nature mean to you?

For me, nature is both 'inspiration' and 'expression'. The sounds and tactile sensations of nature awaken my senses, and the beauty and mystery of nature stimulate my imagination. I use these inspirational materials from nature to express my emotions in my music.
Q. What do you want people to take away from the experience and healing you provide?

I hope that today's performance on this peaceful and tranquil greenery will allow you to let go of your worries and focus solely on the moment you are listening to the music. I hope that you will feel the comfort of the sounds of Korean instruments, the sounds of nature, and the joy of Korean music and focus on your own feelings.
